Her work has been described as a blend of constructivism and abstraction, influenced by European art principles. She has also expressed her preference not to be labeled as a 'woman artist' or a 'feminist artist' and believes her work resonates more with the "agony and ecstasy of poetry".
Parvaneh Etemadi's art has been exhibited internationally, and her work can be found in the public museum collections of the British Museum in London and the Centre Pompidou in Paris. In 2019, a retrospective of her work was held at Tarrahan Azad Gallery in Tehran. She has made significant contributions to the art scene in Tehran and continues to be recognized as a major art figure.
