Mohammed Ali Taraghijah

Mohammad Ali Taraghijah was born in Tehran, Iran in 1943. He studied mechanical engineering at the College of Science & Technology, but he had a passion for art since his childhood. He won the Golden Award at the Iran National Art Competition in 1968 and decided to pursue painting as a profession in 1970.

He developed a unique style of painting that blended realism and impressionism, using vibrant colors and expressive brushstrokes. He often depicted the natural beauty and cultural diversity of Iran, especially its rural areas and villages. He also painted portraits, still lifes, and abstract works.

He participated in many national and international exhibitions and received recognition and awards for his paintings. Some of his works are part of the collection of the Tehran Museum of Contemporary Art and other museums around the world. He also had his paintings selected by UNICEF and the International Museum of 20th Century Arts. He died in Tehran on August 12, 2010 at the age of 67. He is remembered as one of the most influential and prolific Iranian painters of his generation.
